A: There are a couple of possibilities:

1. Make sure you have installed the DVRex on C: drive as per the installation instructions.

2. Make sure you install the MediaStudio which comes with the DVRex. Some people have older versions of MediaStudio which do not support the Canopus plug-in. When reinstalling the new version you must install the DVRex application disks again.

3. Sometimes when installing other software CODECs it may push out the DVRex from the video compression CODECs section in the Windows configuration. You must remove and reinstall the DVRex driver.

From the Control Panel:

Double click on the System icon
Select the Device Manager tab
Select Sound Video and Game Controllers
Select DVRex
Select Remove
Do not restart yet Go into the Windows/inf/other folder
Remove the Canopus Inf file
Restart Windows
When Windows detects the new hardware insert the Driver disk into A: drive.
Follow the onscreen instructions.
